We know time is not equal, just like lending. Some of us have it, others don’t. That’s why we’ve created 3 ways to help schools tackle their unique challenge.

1. Are you limited on time and just want to figure out what type of financing you even match with? We’ve created a short form match that gets to the heart of what we’re looking to do…provide schools with a roster of lenders they match up with. Pros: fewer questions and you get quick access to lenders that you match with. Cons: once matched, you expect to receive hundreds of the same questions asked of you and your school from multiple lenders all so the data can fit into their unique charts and tables. Once matched, schools are provided a list of lenders they matched with. Once the school identifies the lenders they want to connect with, TLP makes email introductions and the schools take it from there.

2. Do you have more time to do it right from the beginning? Our initial lender match platform not only matches schools with potential lenders, it creates a universal profile for you and your school so you can solicit multiple lenders and receive term sheets without having to answer any questions (there might be a few, but it’s doubtful). We’ve done the leg work on the front end, so you aren’t spinning circles on the backend. Pros: fill out the info once and have a universal lending profile! Cons: it takes a bit longer to answer the questions, and there’ll be documents you’ll need to upload (just know, they’re going to ask for these things anyways). Once completed, schools are provided a list of lenders they have matched with as well as a borrower profile. This profile will have just about everything a lender is going to be asking. Once the school has identified the lenders they want to speak with, TLP will make an introduction and share your lender profile during the intro (only with your permission).

3. Are you lost and simply don’t know where to start? We can help! We can work with your school to build out and define the financing project you are looking to have funded. This is a bit more of a “hands on approach” and is a bit more time intensive. With this approach, we will get you ready and walk you through the documents you’ll need to have prepared to then shop the market. Pros: We’re with you from start to finish. Cons: Very time intensive. At the end of this process we’ll get you to a point to where you can solicit to multiple lenders and hopefully prepare you for longterm success along the way.

LENDERS

Not every school is a perfect candidate. Our goal is to figure out who your ideal borrower is as quickly as possible so you aren’t wasting your time meeting with schools you will never work with (this works both ways!). To register as a lender, you will need to create a profile (takes about 3 minutes), and once registered we’ll do the heavy lifting. As schools register with TLP, they will automatically be matched with the lenders based on proprietary algorithms we use to match borrowers and lenders. Once matched, the lender will be notified that they have matched with a potential school borrower. The school then selects the lenders they want to be introduced to, and viola…the borrower and the lender are connected via email. If the school has selected the option to complete a more comprehensive match form, the lender is provided enough information to typically provide a term sheet for the project (we understand that there might be a clarifying question here and there, but the goal is to limit or eliminate that completely).
